In 40 Seconds of Scrum, teams compete against each other by trying to guess as many terms from a card.
How does this help your team?
This exercise creates transparency around how well Scrum teams understand various concepts related to the Scrum framework and Agile software development in general. For example; continuous integration, empiricism, extreme programming, and Work-in-Progress.
When concepts are unclear, you can explore them with your team to see how they can benefit you.
This exercise is also a great icebreaker or a way to learn something while also having fun in the process. So it doubles as a learning aid for Scrum Masters and Agile coaches.
How does it work?
We typically play with two teams. One member of each team has 40 seconds to try to explain the concepts on the card without mentioning them directly, while their team races to give the correct answers. The exercise usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes. And you can go nuts with it too!
What do you receive?
- 22 cards, each containing 5 concepts related to Scrum & Agile
- 1 card with a description of the game
- All cards are 15x10.7 cm
